Art Slam!  A Monthly Art Happening in Newhall

Art Slam is a monthly art happening, which will feature a variety of art, entertainment, and activities centered around a theme. Several themes have been discussed by some artists in the community including: light, sound, water, and ice cream! Many of the Art Slam events will see artists’ responding to a theme by developing interactive opportunities for the public, installations of art work, gallery shows featuring several artists, etc.  For the evening, the block/area will be transformed into an open air gallery.  For more information please contact Arts & Events Office at 661-250-3787.

HandsOn Santa Clarita’s Inaugural 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance
In the days and weeks that followed September 11th, 2001 our nation came together in an unprecedented spirit of community and volunteerism. This extraordinary response to the tragedy solidified the notion that compassion for those in need is a very powerful and unifying force.  The day will focus on the same belief by asking volunteers to come together and give back to our local first responders. The AVTT Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall
The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is the largest traveling replica of the actual Vietnam Memorial Wall. It is an 80 percent replica with 100 percent of the names of the victims from the Vietnam War. The Wall will be at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.
