Fall in Love with Fashion

Fall fashion graces the runway of the 2010 Henry Mayo Fashion Show, themed “Diamonds are Forever.”  Celebrating their 10th anniversary on 10-10-10 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel.  This extravagant gala will be produced by Carin Holemenas and features the beautiful designs of Lourdes Chavez.  This year’s James Bond 007 fashion extravaganza begins at 10 a.m. with a specialty boutique including more than 30 vendors with lunch and the main event immediately following.
For the past 10 years J. David’s has dressed select local men who contribute to the evenings events.  Edwards Lowell Fur & Luxury Center showcases the most beautiful and elegant furs that pair perfectly with the fall 2010 collections.  White House Black Market will also dress the 2010 Henry Mayo debutantes.
Fall 2010 is full of grays, great furs and vests, longer skirts and menswear.  Stylists everywhere are encouraging fashionistas to find the fall fashion trend that works for you.  From matched pantsuits to natty fabrics, menswear is a big trend for fall.  Opt for easy-to-wear matched pantsuits, double-breasted jackets and simple white shirts.  Graceful long skirts, slim slit skirts, floor-dragging skirts: they all appeared on the runway.  Paired with tailored jackets or chunky knits, these skirts looked fresh and wearable by more women than miniskirts.  Watch the length and volume so it won’t overwhelm you if you are petite.  Tall boots, oxfords and platforms all work with long skirts.  Eveningwear is classic, fitted and uses color and shapes to add drama.  Somewhat reminiscent of the old Hollywood glamour girls, evening wear celebrates the beauty that is woman.
