For Your Valentine’s Celebration: The Best Pink and Red Drinks in Town
In this edition of SCV Elite Magazine I thought I would take a look at some local restaurants and scour their social media, and share some of their best offerings – that come in pink and red shades for your Valentine’s Day/Night out! So here goes:
The Old Town Junction
24275 Main St., Newhall
theoldtownjunction.com
(661) 702-4888
You simply must try their “Cristalino” Manhattan made with 1800 Cristalino Anejo Tequila, Averna, Black Walnut Bitters, Orange Twist, Luxardo Cherry. Don’t those flavors sound interesting? Anejo is a tequila that has spent a good amount of time aging in oak, Averna is a brand of Amaro, a dark and spicy Italian liqueur made from various botanicals, then the rest is just nuts, citrus and berry.
Salt Creek Grille
24415 Town Center Dr #115, Valencia
saltcreekgrillvalencia.com
(661) 222-9999
Salt Creek’s Christini Martini. Who doesn’t know and love this classic red Martini that is synonymous with Salt Creek? Always a great starter before a meal, during the meal, after the meal as dessert, and of course to toast with on a romantic night out. It’s made with Stoli raspberry vodka, Champagne, Chambord raspberry liqueur, and if that’s not enough raspberry for you it’s also garnished with more. Isn’t it all sounding very pretty and romantic?
Le Chene French Cuisine
12625 Sierra Hwy
lechene.com
(661) 251-4315
Here we have a photo featuring their own wines (Juan’s Red, Amadeo Tempranillo, and Claudia Grenache) “made from grapes grown in the vineyard by Le Chene.” Did you know that restaurant-owner Juan Alonso is also a well respected local grape grower and winemaker? The wine cellar at Le Chene is world class, but if you want a little local flavor give his own wines a try when you visit! Your Valentine will love the exclusive brand!
Mom Can Cook Thai Kitchen
18358 Soledad Canyon Rd., Canyon Country
momcancook.com
(661) 251-8103
This local favorite family-owned Thai restaurant has a great selection of wines, including popular reds from nearby Paso Robles. If you haven’t paired spicy or not-too-spicy Thai food with wine you’re missing out! And since their menu is so large, you’ll have plenty of pairings to try.
Wolf Creek Restaurant & Co.
27746 McBean Pkwy., Valencia
wolfcreekbrewingco.com
(661) 263-9653
Red and peachy toned beers can always be found at Wolf Creek! Added bonus is that they are fresh and made in house. They’ve also recently made changes to their wine list and are very excited to announce that they have added many new wines! There is definitely something for everyone, so pay them a visit and try a glass or even bottle!
Azul Tequila Mexican Grill and Bar
25387 Wayne Mills Place, Valencia
azultequillagrill.com
(661) 254-5500
A Signature Margarita at this restaurant comes in many colors – including this vibrant red pictured. Their red fruit flavored Margaritas include Strawberry, Raspberry and Pomegranate! Or try something a little spicier, the Chilerita, which can be made with a blend of watermelon and lime juice in a Margarita, and with a sweet and tangy chili sauce.
