Fuel Your Warrior

He has been a Santa Clarita resident for the last 20 years and graduated from Hart High School in 2000.  He continued his education at Cal University and even played for the Varsity football and ice hockey team.  He finished his undergraduate studies in just two years, took the Bar exam and is currently a licensed California attorney.
But it was Kirk’s idea of protein water that took his success to another level.   Santa Clarita resident and Hart High alumni Kirk Bardin took a moment to talk to us about the business he created, the first ever all natural protein water – Spartos.
 

é: What is Spartos?

Spartos is Power Water.  The family of Spartos, Spartos sugar free, and Goddess represent the ideals of the Spartan culture: power and simplicity.  Power from the ingredients: protein, vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, and antioxidants.  Simplicity comes from the ingredient selection and the simplified packaging.  Spartos uses the fewest, all natural ingredients to deliver nutritional value, and is the first of its kind, all natural protein water.   
 

é: How did you come up with the idea?

The idea has actually been a long time in the making.  After graduating from Hart, I went to Cal to play football.  In order to remain active and healthy, I needed to drink protein drinks.  I was the one always carrying around multiple shaker bottles filled with protein power.  Some seven years later, I still had the shaker bottles in tow, and I had grown tired of the bulk of the bottles and the horrible taste of the protein shakes.  It was then that I realized the need for a beverage that both tastes great and is truly functional.
 

é: How did you turn your idea a reality?

Right after I came up with the idea of a drink, Spartan Beverages, Inc. had been formed and research had started.  After years of research and development, Spartos provides the maximum functionality without any sacrifice to taste, and equally important, it’s all natural.
 

é: Why did you choose the name Spartos?

é: Why protein water?

Consumers have grown significantly more health-conscious and are looking for an answer to the over-hyped energy drinks and over-sugared flavored waters.  With the emergence of brands featuring protein shakes, consumers have shown their eagerness to embrace protein as a superior functional ingredient.  Spartos is the next big thing: functional like a protein shake, but with the great taste of the classic sports drinks.
 

é: What kinds of drinks are available?

Spartos, Spartos sugar free, and Goddess.  With 10 grams of protein and 9 essential vitamins, Spartos is sweetened with pure cane sugar.  Also having 10 grams of protein, but only 30 calories, Spartos sugar free is naturally sweetened with Stevia.  Goddess aims to provide every woman’s needs with high iron, Vitamin D, and Calcium.  At only 16 calories, Goddess provides 5 grams of sugar free protein.  All three drinks are soy and gluten free.
