Going All in For a Great Cause

Poker enthusiasts came out to support the wonderful women of Soroptimist International Santa Clarita Valley on Saturday, May 7 2011.  The night began with delicious food provided by Marcos Catering and rockin’ music by Danny Diaz and Band.  Players enjoyed tournament Texas Hold’em as well as Blackjack throughout the night.  And what a hit the Blackjack table was.  Before beginning the official Blackjack start, dealers indulged players with a few rounds of “free” play for practice and I can tell you I heard the laughter from across the room.  It was a wonderful night of fun and friends, all while raising money for a fantastic cause.
Making their way to the final table, players included: Ramon Fabregas, Tim Bricker, Jeremy Wheatley, BJ Saidi, Lance Gordon, Ken Bricker, Tara Rice, Zach Swerdzewski and Brett Robinson.  Congratulations to all the “big dogs” for going the distance.  Taking home the grand prize of the evening was Ramon Fabregas, winning a $1,500 seat in the World Series of Poker along with a two-night stay at the Rio in Las Vegas.
