There is no one more deserving of the SCV Business Leadership Award than Roger Seaver, President & CEO of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.  Last month, he was nominated and selected to receive the Business Leadership Award for 2014 for his outstanding accomplishments and dedication to improving the hospital and our growing community’s healthcare needs.
Roger Seaver was named President & CEO of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in 2001.  With more than 35 years in the healthcare industry, Seaver is known for developing market leading services in community hospitals and providing strategic leadership for addressing community healthcare needs.  He is actively involved in industry issues around healthcare policy, transparency, and advocacy.  He served as the Board Chairman of the Hospital Association of Southern California in 2009 and served as Chairman of the California Hospital Association in 2013.  Other professional affiliations include serving as Chair-elect of the California Healthcare Insurance Company, Inc. and Optima Healthcare Insurance Services, and the Anthem Blue Cross of California Hospital Advisory Board.  Seaver has also participated in civic and business affairs in Southern California and is a Board and Executive Committee member of the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation.

We are a third generation family owned business that was started by grandfather, Massena “Andy” Gump and son, Barry, assumed leadership in the 1970’s. Barry became a licensed electrical contractor and expanded the company into temporary power for construction sites throughout Southern California. The 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics was the launching point for our Special Events Department. Barry’s daughter, Nancy, joined the business in 1989 and shared an office with her father for five years working major special events together like the U.S. Open golf tournaments, 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics, movie premieres, Hollywood gala’s and black tie parties with luxury restroom trailers. Barry retired at the age of 70 and handed over the reigns to his daughter Nancy in 2012.  She was blessed to have worked with her grandfather for 10 years and more than 26 years together with her father, Barry, in the business!
