Honoring Those Who Make a Difference The 2012 Silver Spur Celebration

Saturday, March 3, Santa Clarita took over The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Air Force One Pavilion for the 2012 Silver Spur Celebration.  The special evening honored long time Santa Clarita residents Richard and Marian Sandnes as 2012 recipients of the college’s prestigious “Silver Spur” Community Service Award for their active support in several key projects and programs at the college, including the COC Foundation student scholarship program, the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) K-12 Arts Education Outreach Program, the annual Silver Spur celebration and the COC Athletics department.

Saturday, March 3, Santa Clarita took over The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Air Force One Pavilion for the 2012 Silver Spur Celebration.  The special evening honored long time Santa Clarita residents Richard and Marian Sandnes as 2012 recipients of the college’s prestigious “Silver Spur” Community Service Award for their active support in several key projects and programs at the college, including the COC Foundation student scholarship program, the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) K-12 Arts Education Outreach Program, the annual Silver Spur celebration and the COC Athletics department.
Guests enjoyed a black tie optional evening including dinner, a live auction and a tribute video to the honorees Richard and Marian Sandnes.  The event was co-chaired by Jeff Hacker and Randy Moberg, members of the COC Foundation Board of Directors.
