Introducing The Honoree’s of the 9th Annual Empowering HeArts Gala

Empowering HeArts is an annual event that helps raise funds for programs and services offered at Single Mothers Outreach and in helping to empower the members we serve. Each year, the community nominates women they feel embody the selected theme. Once narrowed down to six honorees, they are then paired with six local artists who will help depict the stories of how these women represent the theme.
On the night of our event, we reveal the wonderful art pieces created by the artists, and the community comes together to help celebrate these inspiring women. With entertainment throughout the night and wonderful items up for auction, it is surely a night you will not want to miss out on! This year’s event’s theme is Integrity. The event will be on February 8, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Andrea Vibe:
Being an Empowering HeArts Honoree motivates me to help others work through challenges gracefully. When we learn to turn negative experiences into positive, I truly believe set-backs can be set-ups for come backs.

Holly Feneht:
Being honored by Empowering HeArts is such a gift and has allowed me to share even more with the Santa Clarita community about Circle of Hope’s Mission and bring awareness about all the amazing services Hope’s Haven has to offer for those who have been affected by cancer.

Janelle Spindt:
I am happy to get this award.  I have disabilities, but my parents call me a “tough cookie”.  Avenues Supported Living Services helps me live a full life and prove that people like me can be accepted and valued for what we CAN do instead of what we CAN’T do.

Rhona Jukes:
I was thrilled and honored to be named one of the Honorees for Single Mother’s Outreach Empowering HeArts Event especially with the theme of Integrity. As a Single Mom, I pride myself on having integrity in both my professional and personal life and in giving back to our Community. Doing what is right for people is the most important thing.

Jane Lopez:
I am honored and humbled to have been selected as one of the 2019 Empowering HeArts Honoree’s.  I hope that other Survivors of Domestic Violence know that they too can reach for the moon and stars and overcome all the obstacles we have too.
