Guests of the 4th Annual Hold ‘Em Not Hassle ‘Em Poker Tournament ante’d up for a good cause on Saturday, October 23 at the beautiful Tournament Players Club in Valencia. Nearly 200 people showed their support, all to benefit the SCV Youth Project. Eventgoers enjoyed a delicious Mexican style buffet, cigars, desserts by Heather Porter, wine, a silent auction, raffle prizes, a rock-paper-scissors contest and of course a professionally run Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament, with 100 percent of the proceeds raised for charity. The entertaining Ed Masterson emcee’d the exciting event. “The 4th Annual Hold ‘Em Not Hassle ‘Em Tournament was a huge success. With close to 200 people, it’s the biggest we’ve ever seen in the valley,” said Kim Goldman. First place winner went to Teddy Gordon-Martin, 2nd Place winner; Jerry Citarella and 3rd place winner was David Vanacore. Trevor Rice took crown for the rock-paper-scissors contest. The event grossed more than $30,000. Final numbers have not been tallied. “I am so proud of the efforts of all the staff and Board of Directors and my co-chairs, Jerry Citarella, Scott Schauer and Susie Lawler; everyone worked so hard to make this night the best it’s ever been. We have raised the bar for 2012.” says Gregg Goodman, SCVYP Board President and Event Co-Chair.
