It’s Your Party So, Pick the Dress You Want To!
Some women are born with the ability to know exactly what they want when they see it. Take my youngest sister, she is one of those women, incredibly decisive and doesn’t hesitate. I am not one of those women. “I like options” — that is my motto!
As you can imagine, the recent trends in wearing multiple dresses, genre-themed affairs and grand gesture moments sparked my “party-vibes” right up.
From Old Hollywood inspired gowns, like the Eden Aharon creation on our cover and to the left, to grand gesture moments like surprise honeymoon plans or elaborate bride and groom gifts, couples in 2019 are truly planning the day of their dreams.
One of the first things you must do when wedding dress shopping is to set your budget, truly know what you can, and are willing to spend, on your big day. It will help set the tone for the rest of the wedding planning.
One more essential piece of advice I came across in my research is to plan for the non-obvious costs like tailoring and accessories as well as the cleaning and preservation of your gown. Thinks shoes… a gorgeous shawl or jacket for the evening…
I was recently Insta-gushing over wedding photography and came across the coolest idea courtesy of The Bubble Tap Trailer. This Southern California small business renovated a vintage canned ham trailer to house Prosecco and sparkling wine on tap, which you can rent, and treat your guests to. This would be a must-have at my wedding, that’s for sure.
We hope these pages help inspire your dream and guide you to some excellent local vendors who can help make your wedding an event that your family and friends will remember for a lifetime.
