With summer in full swing, this issue is packed full of hot stories and features of local talent and hidden gems in the Santa Clarita Valley.
First up we have Rowan Smyth as our cover star. Some of you may know him as Mayor Cameron Smyth’s son but others know him as a young actor. He has already become such a star. (See page 8)
Our Ultimate Dining Award winners are in. I would like to personally congratulate all of the winners this year, we have a wonderful selection of restaurants in our valley. Thank you also to the thousands of Santa Clarita residents who voted for their favorites. Flip to page 10 to see who won. As well as voting for their favorites, readers had the opportunity to share there favorite dishes with everyone in our Reader’s Choice Perfect Bite feature on page 18.
We at èlite Magazine pride ourselves on bringing you great stories that have a close tie to Santa Clarita. Featured in this issue are four doctors from Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital giving you a closer look at what they do to better our lives. We also featured Dr. Bruce Pelkey previously the Dean of International Students at College of the Canyons, he has a phenomenal story read all about his retirement plans on page 58. We also had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Judy Fish, whose story will amaze you, this lady fell in love with Paris and travels there whenever the opportuity arises, but her heart is right here in the Santa Clarita Valley, see page 44 for this story.
