A Message from the Associate Publisher Alexander Hafizi

It’s my favorite time of the year!  The holidays have arrived and it’s that special time when everyone gets a little bit more festive. This issue is one of a kind and is filled with a lot of hidden gems. Our cover features the lovely Karli Webster who had a powerful voice on NBC’s hit show The Voice. She’s our very own Santa Clarita star.
Speaking of being powerful, in this issue you will find our Ultimate Ladies in Business award winners. This group of ladies are all amazing at what they do and because of that, our community chose them as 2017’s èlite Magazine’s Ultimate Ladies in Business. As well as featuring these winning ladies, you will also find a superwoman in the music industry,  Jennifer Thomas.
We are also featuring some incredible women in this issue  Lisha Yakub-Sevanian the owner of Calgrove Media and Mia Francovich, the perfectly imperfect model. Keeping the woman power going, you will find super singer Savannah Burrows, Real Estate expert Dippy Chhina as well as Nancy Butler the creator of the Thank-a-Vet golf tournament.
Santa Clarita residents have a special place in their hearts for Jo-Anne Darcy.  We were sad to hear of her passing and it is our honor to feature her as we look back on her life.
A dynamic couple that has also made a mark in our community is Linda Storli and Dennis Koontz, read their story of community involvement inside.  This whole issue is so inspirational. But wait, there’s more we haven’t forgotten about the men in our valley. We have several amazing Closeups on David Guenther, Dennis Ho, Shie Rozow and Peyton Albrecht just to name a few.

If you’re looking to step outside our valley,  Arnold Bryant and I had the pleasure of visiting Morro Bay a few months ago and we thought we would share our wonderful experiences with everyone in the hopes that you make the trip out there someday.
