Local non-profit Mothers Fighting For Others (MFFO) celebrated its third-annual Calendar Party on Saturday, August 22 at the residence of Mike and Ann-Marie Bjorkman. Hosted by KTLA Morning News Anchor Chris Schauble, the event raised nearly $24,000 in support of the organization’s mission.
MFFO is the sole supporter of Saint Monica’s Children’s Home, which houses almost 60 orphaned children in Nairobi, Kenya. Funds raised support housing, food, water, medical care and others costs for the children.
“We are moms just trying to make a difference for these kids, and we are grateful because of the success of the event,” said Founder Rocky Turner. “The MFFO family just got a little bigger!”
