Paint-it-Forward with ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING
The police department, the fire department, our ambulance drivers and EMTs, the United States Military are all vital in keeping us safe. The brave men and women that make up these organizations risk their lives on a daily basis to make sure we feel secure and get the help we need in the time of an emergency. Time and time again these people answer the call to duty and for their efforts we give back to them in various ways. From handshakes to building suitable homes for disabled vets, America has so many ways to show gratitude for their service. The Santa Clarita business community is no stranger to this cause. ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING has created their very own unique way to give back with their Paint-it-Forward campaign.
Last year, four families got the surprise of their lives when they received notice that ALLBRiGHT was going to repaint their entire home. The deserving families are all associated with some type of service: be it police, military or first responders. They all submitted their stories and the community voted for the best. The recipients of the giveaway were United States Marine Corps Veteran Dominic Macaya, United States Marine Corps Veteran Ronald L. Graham, Retired Police Officer Marc Manfro, United States Army Veteran Kimberlin R. Bain. Each one had an inspirational story that was well deserving of this contest.
On a sunny weekend in November members of the ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING happiness team and volunteers worked to beautify and restore four separate homes owned by local retired heroes with a fresh coat of paint. The idea was started by Josh Abramson, Chief Solutionist at ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING. “We want to help brighten the lives of our community’s retired heroes by providing someone’s home or meeting space with a fresh coat of paint. We hope to bring a little painting happiness to these local heroes who have already given so much.”
This event would not be possible without the generous donations of Dunn-Edwards Paints, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, and Vista Paint who all donated 40-50 gallons of paint, caulking, paint buckets, brushes, plastic, tape, rollers and frames for each home.
It has been over 13 years since the first Paint-It-Forward, and now so many other painting contractors are joining the movement. With their combined efforts Paint-it-Forward have donated well over $1,000,000 worth of free painting services and materials delivered to communities across the U.S. and Canada.
“This was our biggest Paint-It-Forward event to date and we were grateful to serve those who have done so much for our local community!”
