Launches Promotion to Support Local Girl with Leukemia

If you walked by Rituals Colour Salon on February 3, you might have thought a celebrity had arrived in town.  The line of parents, kids, Girl Scout troops and teachers spilled out onto the sidewalk in front, all waiting eagerly for their turn.
The guest of honor — 5-year-old Libriti Greene, a Stevenson Ranch kindergartner recently diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia.  Local residents young and old packed the popular salon to get a free colorful hair extension in exchange for a $10 donation to the Greene family, used to help the self-employed parents cover medical expenses and expensive insurance premiums.
Rituals Colour Salon owner, Renee Kaehny, who had learned of Libriti’s fight on the Facebook page, “For the Love of Libriti,” led her team for almost three straight hours in applying the temporary extensions, offered in pink, purple, red and blue, as well as a variety of feather options.
But Kaehny’s favorite client of the night was Libriti herself, who charmed staff and supporters with her sense of humor and independent spirit.  “My family, my team and I were so honored to be able to help Libriti and her beautiful family,” Kaehny said.  I think all of us were inspired by her positive energy and the support of the community – what an incredible night!”
Libriti’s mom, due to give birth to baby brother Ethan, was also overwhelmed by the outpouring of love by friends, family and strangers alike.  “The response from the community has been incredibly inspiring to our family!  We are profoundly appreciative of every thought, prayer, word of kindness, and donation shared by the people of SCV.  This is not a journey you want to walk alone and we are thankful that we have a legion of angels, right here, that are willing to walk with us!”
