Saint Francis Academy offers a classical liberal arts education in the Catholic tradition for grades K-9 and adding 10th-12th in subsequent years. The sole purpose of Saint Francis Academy is to train Catholic children in the liberal arts education; that is, an education that teaches children to learn for themselves. Education aims at developing the proper habits of mind. It takes patience, prudence, and prayer. Education is what is left when the facts are forgotten. It provides the foundation for a lifetime of growth.
To that end, the curriculum at Saint Francis Academy is language-intensive, history-intensive¸ and emphasizes critical thinking skills and expression through classes in formal logic and rhetoric, as well as early introduction to foreign languages (including Latin). The Catholic faith is interrelated throughout the curriculum to deepen our understanding of our faith and tradition.
