Serving the Santa Clarita Residents at UCLA Health Imaging Services
UCLA Health imaging services are available to Santa Clarita Valley residents, in our state-of-the-art imaging center in Valencia.
Managed by radiologists Drs. Omar Sahagun and Jane Dascalos, the UCLA-Santa Clarita Imaging and Interventional Center offers most imaging services, including X-ray, DEXA scan, Ultrasound, CT, PET-CT and MRI. It also features the latest breast-imaging technology for screening mammograms (including 3-D tomosynthesis), diagnostic breast exams and interventional procedures, as well as other interventional services such as pain management, port placement and biopsies.
Both Dr. Sahagun and Dr. Dascalos have strong ties to the local community. They have worked in the Santa Clarita Valley for the past nine years, developing great relationships with local physicians. They have strived to build solid reputations by earning the trust and respect of physicians and patients alike. Both believe in giving back to the community by providing educational seminars at the Santa Clarita YMCA.
Dr. Sahagun grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He attended college at UCLA and completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He returned to Los Angeles to complete his medicine internship at UCLA-Olive View Medical Center, then completed his diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Sahagun holds subspecialty expertise in abdominal imaging and intervention, musculoskeletal imaging and intervention and pain management.
Dr. Dascalos grew up in Southern California. She attended college and completed her medical degree at UC Irvine. After finishing her medicine internship at UCLA-Olive View Medical Center, Dr. Dascalos completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and her breast fellowship training at UCLA. She holds subspecialty expertise in breast imaging and intervention.
UCLA Santa Clarita Imaging and Interventional Center is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours for MRI procedures. The center accepts most insurance plans and cash payments.
