Stay Connected with élite Magazine – Oct/Nov 2016
We have all heard of the six degrees of separation, but here in Santa Clarita, it’s more like three degrees – and that’s exactly how our smokin’ cover came about! One evening after deadline, our team went to Eighth & Rail in Newhall to celebrate. Before taking my first sip of a celebratory beverage, I was approached by a tall, friendly guy who told me I looked familiar. Well, that happens often after growing up in this town, but when he flashed his smile, I was thinking: “If I don’t already know him, I’m about to!”
We started chatting – turns out we both went to Saugus High School and have a few friends in common. I mentioned élite Magazine, and he tells me he owns a motorcycle shop. He has this certain style, which you will see for yourself, but his style mixed with a motorcycle … I had to know more. We are so thankful he opened up to us, sharing his story and his vision. Dustin Kott is an authentic craftsman living his dream, right here in our sweet little valley!
Also in this issue, we launch a new recurring feature called Dynamic Couples. In a fresh take on the Love Story, we sit down with Santa Clarita’s emerging and existing power couples – people who make a difference in their careers and community on a daily basis. Just because we love community-minded residents, we decided to launch with a series of three! Know a Dynamic Couple? Find me on Facebook!
Our Million Dollar Home is absolutely stunning with views that will take your breath away and a warmness that will make you want to move right in. My favorite part of this entire home is the exposed rock in the kitchen. Take your time looking through the pages, and tell your favorite part on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scvelitemagazine.
I know you have heard of élite Magazine’s Ultimate Awards. You know how I know? Our Ultimate Home and Garden awards received more than 18,000 votes! Be sure to check out the winners. These hard working business owners are thrilled to hear they have been voted your Ultimate, so keep up the voting at www.scvelitemagazine.com. Ultimate Bridal Professionals are up next!
There’s nothing quite like fall in the Santa Clarita Valley. Even though the weather isn’t typical, it doesn’t keep us from celebrating fall in style! Flip to our Fabulous Fall Finds, and be sure to see what our advertisers are offering this season!
Honestly, this issue is FULL of great articles and noteworthy advertisers! Grab a cozy seat, pour your favorite beverage and read away!
I’ll be seeing you around!
