Stepping Out at Magic Mountain to Find A Cure For Diabetes
On November 5, almost 2,000 walkers “Stepped Out” at the 25th annual Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes. This year’s event was held at Six Flags Magic Mountain where walkers had the unique opportunity to walk through the park before it was open to the public. Walkers formed teams with their families, friends and co-workers and held fundraising events and made donations to support the work of the American Diabetes Association. Through their efforts, almost $200,000 was raised that day to support the mission to “prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.” After the Step Out Walk, all attendees enjoyed the Step Out Festival where they enjoyed food, entertainment, vendor booths and of course a visit from Bugs Bunny and his friends!
