Steve Chegwin is a seasoned Certified Public Accountant professional in his field of tax and financial services. He enjoys working with clients to resolve their tax issues. With proper tax planning, clients can use the tax laws to their advantage and avoid costly mistakes. Steve believes that providing excellent service to his clients is the key to growing a business.
As a long time resident of the Santa Clarita Valley, Steve lives in Valencia with his wife Rose and their sons, Chris and Brandon. He and his family enjoy the activities available throughout the Santa Clarita Valley, and when time permits, play a round of golf. They support many charitable organizations and events, specifically the Henry Mayo Hospital Foundation, SCV Senior Center and Soroptomist International of Greater SCV. In addition, Steve is a member of professional organizations including the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and the California Association of CPA’s.
After graduating from California State University, Northridge, with a major in Business and Accounting, Steve was recruited by one of the “Big Four” accounting firms, Deloitte and Company. He was able to hone his skills by performing certified audits, reviews and providing tax services to clients of the firm. Upon leaving the firm, Steve was the CFO for several companies in Southern California.
In 2001, Steve started his own CPA practice where he provides tax, accounting and consulting services to individuals and small businesses. It is very important to him that his clients understand how taxes impact their investments and retirement plans. As a licensed life insurance agent, he can provide an objective review of his client’s insurance to ensure that they have adequate coverage.
