The 2010 SCV Senior Court Celebrity Waiter

Raising funds for the Adult Daycare Respite Program and Supporting Services, the SCV Senior Center held the Celebrity Waiters “Senior Prom” 2010 on Saturday, February 27 at the Hyatt Valencia.
Guests came in all forms of Prom attire, some kept traditional suits while others really had fun with the decades of past, from the 50s to current day.  The night even featured a special senior court comprised of seniors from the Center.
Local high schools were involved as well and provided entertainment during the night.  Dance teams from all over SCV performed, and other students volunteered their time to help with the decoration and creation of the prom atmosphere.
Along with sponsorships and donations, the celebrity waiters worked very hard to raise more money during evening.  Each waiter was given a table and guests were asked to “tip” the waiters for any service they provide, and the services can get pretty silly.  Local celebrity Ovington Michael Owston, or as many of us know him as “O,” took much pride in his table, protecting them from others and even charging guests for leaning on “his clients” seats.
