The Taste of Sweet Success

The Child and Family Center had many reasons to be thankful after the 21st Annual Taste of the Town held at the Mann Bio Medical Park on Sunday, May 3, 2009.  Almost 2,000 residents showed support as they enjoyed food and drink from some of SCV’s top restaurants and caterers. The Bank of Santa Clarita served as this year’s title sponsor and the event was chaired by Debbie and John Heys and Mark and Ginger LeVang.  
Tickets were offered at a lower rate this year as a gift to the community for all its past support and it was very well received according to Lois Bauccio, president of the Child and Family Center Foundation.  She estimated that the event grossed nearly $140,000.  
Music entertainment featured Mark Le Vang & Friends as well as the “Valli Boys” – a tribute to the music of Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons.  The silent auction included more than 150 items available for guests.
