Zonta Honors Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook
Zonta Tribute was an evening of passionate inspiration as the women-empowerment club recognized the outstanding work of College of the Canyons Chancellor Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook. Festivities kicked off with a cocktail hour for some of Santa Clarita’s finest leaders. The program featured a light-hearted video chronicling Dianne’s life followed by speakers, including keynote Roger Van Hook. Roger shared a hilarious series of anecdotes about life with Dianne, finishing with some heartfelt words to his wife and one final ribbing. Dianne’s speech focused on the power of one individual, the importance of driven women, reaching for your dreams and believing in yourself. When she finished, the entire crowd filling the Hyatt Regency Valencia ballroom was brought to its feet for a standing ovation. The entire community recognized the power of one.
