The Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley was founded in 1974 and is an organization of women working together to advance the status of women in the SCV through service, advocacy and awareness. Each year, the organization chooses an outstanding community member to pay tribute to, and this year, they have not only chosen one, but two women who are both deserving of the honor.
On Friday, November 7, Zonta Club of SCV will be honoring Dianne Curtis and Cheri Fleming for their outstanding community service in helping make a difference in the lives of those in Santa Clarita as well as worldwide. Join their family and friends as they gather to honor Dianne and Cheri for Zonta’s 30th Annual Tribute Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Valencia.
The two honorees share a variety of traits that have made them successful both personally and professionally. Both carry the title of wife, mother, grandmother and successful business owners in a male dominated field. They have also volunteered numerous hours and served as president of global volunteer organizations, seeking to improve the lives of women.
Dianne Curtis is the owner and president of Canyon Bulk, Inc., a trucking and construction company. Dianne is also the immediate past president of Zonta International, a global volunteer organization dedicated to advancing the status of women through service advocacy.
Cheri Fleming is the dealer principal and owner of Valencia Acura. Cheri is the current President of Soroptimist International of the Americas, a global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.
Zonta’s mission is “Improving the lives of women through service advocacy and awareness.” Thank you to Dianne and Cheri for all you have done and continue to do to make our community a better place to live.
