The beauty of summer has yet to end and there’s still plenty of time to enjoy all the entertainment that our City offers.  Spend an afternoon on the greens at the 6th Annual Boys & Girls Club Golf Tournament or satisfy your sweet tooth at the Sweet Charity Cake Auction to benefit the SCV Youth Project.  Get ready for a busy month as September has many events to keep you occupied.  Check out our Calendar for more details.
If you’ve made an appearance at any one of the fun events that occur in our Valley, then it’s quite possible you’ll recognize the SOS Team that we have featured this issue.  For over 25 years, SOS Entertainment has been getting the party started, making your special events a success.
We always enjoy introducing you to many of the accomplished people who call Santa Clarita their home.  Meet the multi-talented Trent Gill, and learn about how he turned tragedy into an inspirational drive to find a cure.  There’s also an accomplished composer in Canyon Country, Gregory Hinde, who tells his story through music and has found fame internationally.  We’ve also featured some young superstars in the making.  Get to know adorable little Samantha Bailey, who plays Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless, and read about SCV’s own national champion, Saugus resident Jordyn Duffield.
We are continuously amazed and pleased with the outpouring of goodwill and generosity within our community.   Two of the three profiles that we donated to the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s Golf Tournament are featured in this issue.  Image 2000 and SCV Commercial Real Estate Services purchased the auctioned items at the event and the donated proceeds benefited the Emergency and Trauma Services at the hospital.  We thank you for your generosity.
Don’t let your passion for summertime fitness fade – we are pleased to feature Everything About Fitness business profiles to help you find the right professional to look good and feel fit.  Be sure and check out our Health and Fitness feature as we’ve taken some time to ask the experts a few questions about getting fit.
You don’t have to travel too far to experience the beauty of the wine country.  Take a drive up Highway 101 and visit the breathtaking vineyards of Paso Robles in our Great Escape feature.
And on your return, be sure and visit the town of Neenach, and learn about the Barnes family, who has etched their name from this little town to Santa Clarita in our Looking Back.
While we close the door on summer in Santa Clarita we certainly welcome the beautiful days of fall ahead. The empty playgrounds will soon be filled with students running around as the new school year is set to begin.  We, at élite Magazine, hope you had some memorable summer vacations and we look forward to continuing to bring you stories and features that reflect the great spirit this community has.
