Sitting off of Sand Canyon Road in Canyon Country, lays a beautiful house that could easily be missed.  However, find your way past their gated entrance and up their meandering street, and you will be delighted to find both an entertainer’s paradise and an estate Doctors Alon and Shalita call home.
Nestled at the end of a private cul-de-sac, the house is a striking monument of muted grey tones and hand-cut stone pillars punctuated with accents of black and copper, dark green foliage, and bejeweled with blossoming flowers.  The spacious stamped concrete driveway gives way to an attractive port d’entrée, rounded out with ballasted steps, a large front patio, and a fountain focal point; all of which leads your attention to the grand entry of doubled iron and glass doors.
Of course, what makes every house a home is the beauty of its interior.  Rich hand-distressed mahogany flooring meets creamy carpeting, laying the foundation for an inviting living room decorated with oversized furniture and portraits of their children Emily, 6, and Adin, 5.  The interior is hand painted in complementing neutrals, drawing the eyes upward to the coffered ceilings and sparkling chandeliers.
Follow the walkway past the spacious formal dining room and enter the real heart of the home.  The open family room merges seamlessly with an expansive kitchen and dining nook.  Stainless steel appliances offer plenty of room to prepare meals, as do the granite countertops; the natural feel of the house is only intensified by the counters’ raw edges.  The kitchen’s center island adds a wonderful touch – under-lit onyx has a lovely eye-catching allure when contrasted with the hand-rubbed maple cabinetry.  The flood of sunlight that streams through the myriad windows gives this home’s heart a relaxed, natural feel about it.
Venture upstairs, either by the hand-forged iron staircase, or take the elevator if you are so inclined, and walk onto a landing fit for any party: a regulation-sized pool table, a complete bar setup, and a flat-screen television with surround sound.  Walk through the doors to the right and find an in-home theater and personal gym; to the left, enter Dr. Antebi’s personal study, complete with a personal balcony to reflect and check on outdoor guests.

Emily has a lovely mural of a cottage countryside and its lording castle in girlish hues of pink and lavender; the scene is even completed with her own castle – a bed, that is!  Adin, on the other hand, has classic cars and a fire engine bed to rest in.  One wall even pays homage to his father’s monster truck.  The murals were painted by Cheri McClung, a local artist.
What truly makes this home a paradise is the yard.  Walk into the backyard and there you find a pool that is anything but small; offering a beach entrance at one end, a large spa grotto, and a slide built into the hill. You just can’t ask for more.  Take a second to lounge about in the chaises, chairs, and around the tables from Oasis Garden & Patio and take in the various waterfalls, both along the length of the pool and above the grotto, and you have a relaxing and private retreat.  Palms of all shapes and sizes offer variety, texture and a touch of the tropics.

Follow the planked path further and you have the children’s play area; up above, you reach the secluded sitting area under a gazebo that offers an escape to enjoy a bottle of wine with friends and a panoramic view of Santa Clarita’s canyons.
Whether accommodating friends, family, guests, it’s clear that this is the home to do it at. “We love entertaining our families and friends all year long!” states Shalita.  “And the kids really enjoy living here,” adds Alon.  Whether hosting a winter party inside or entertaining guests for a summer barbeque poolside, it’s clear that this house is perfectly suited for both!
