Welcome to Live Oak Springs! This home, tucked in the gated Robinson Ranch community, provides the perfect setting for both small and large family gatherings. Looking out onto the fairway, one is greeted by a simply serene landscape. A large free form pool creates a focal area, surrounded by large palms and dignified roses. Furniture from Oasis Patio Furniture provides two areas for guests to sit and mingle, while lamps and outdoor fans grant lighting, both around the pool and under the covered patio. The outdoor kitchen has ample space to barbeque summer meals. There is even lighting to spotlight the adjoining golf course! Set off the street, this charming home is framed beautifully by stately landscaping; large trees surround it, while delicate flowers dot the planters hidden amongst the manicured lawn. Enter into the front portico, and the light scent of jasmine wafts through the air. Subtle hints of purple and pink carpet planter beds; a large copper mirror and hanging stars finish off the element to this outdoor extension of the house, as one can lounge casually on the outdoor couch and listen to the gentle splashing of the fountain. The entry offers an expansive view of the open layout. The living room, off to the right, houses the baby grand piano. Furniture in rich, dark wood is juxtaposed to the expansive floor-to-ceiling fireplace and live plants. Niches on either side of the fireplace are uniquely adorned with works of Egyptian art. The formal dining room, situated directly across the checkered floor, is delicately draped by sheer curtains of gold. An eclectic mix of furniture complement each other as old meets new: an antique sideboard, buffet, and a converted gramophone are finished in the same rich maple as the more modern high-backed chairs and straight table. Upholstery of rich chocolate suede ties the entire room together. An eye-catching feature of this house is the conversion of the technology center. Where many homes in the area have a built-in computer desk, the owners chose instead to convert this area into a wine cellar and bar area. Bottles chill in the refrigerator, and granite countertops cap the lower cabinets. Tinkling glassware is hidden behind seedglass-fronted cabinets. Lighted by a drop light in antiqued bronze, and the whole area is tucked behind custom wrought iron doors, again finished in an antiqued bronze patina. This form and function is echoed in the open wall area of the living room. Walk deeper into the heart of the home to the open “great room,” a combination of kitchen and family room, and you are bathed in bright, natural sunlight. The multiple windows, the vaulted ceilings, and the crown molding all combine to make the room feel spacious and inviting. Inside the family room, large overstuffed leather couches and armchairs offers gracious seating in front of the in-wall entertainment center. Indoor foliage and a large natural cut fireplace are again offset by dark accents, though this time as an oversized clock, shelving, and a stately mirror. Delicately perched on the side tables are two matching tortoise shell lamps. In the kitchen, a grand center island creates a perfect location to prepare meals or to offer seating for guests as you keep them company. Large pendant chandeliers hang from the ceiling as added lighting to the flush mount canisters. One can see as a gracious host or hostess proffers seating at the kitchen nook, tucked into a well-lit corner offering a beautiful view of the backyard – and abutting golf course. It is truly a perfect place to entertain, relax and unwind-a perfect place to call home!
