No Bake S’mores Bars
Hi Friends! I hope you’ve all had a great spring so far, but I’m so ready for Summer! I can’t wait to just throw a bathing suit or shorts on and soak in some sun! I think its pretty obvious to say I spend a lot of my time baking, but once the weather warms up, its hard to get yourself to turn on the oven. The recipe I’m sharing with you today is a no-bake, easy, and YUMMY one.
This is a typical start-of-summer treat, just re-imagined. One word, S’mores! That’s right S’mores, only, without the campfire. How can these not be good, am I right?! I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do! As always, if you like this and try this recipe out, let me know!
Ingredients
• 14 ounces graham crackers, finely ground
• 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons water
• 13 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
• 12 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1/4 teaspoon salt, optional
• ½ cup mini marshmallows
Directions
Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, salt, water, and melted butter in a large bowl until moistened. Firmly press into bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.
Heat chocolate and cream in medium heatproof bowl in microwave or over pan of barely simmering water, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth. Spread over crust and then sprinkle with salt and marshmallows.
Chill until chocolate is firm, about 30 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.
Pro-tip: If you want the marshmallows to have a charred look to them, use either a lighter to lightly brown them, OR if you happen to have a handheld torch lying around, feel free to torch those babies!
