Vista Canyon Prepares For The Return To The Office
The pandemic has forced us to rethink the purpose and meaning of the office. While the office did start out as a necessity ruled by a paper-based system, rigid hierarchy and now outdated technology like telegrams, the workplace has evolved into something more complex, very much forming a part of our culture and identity.
And while there’s been no shortage of speculation about the future of the workplace, reports of the demise of the office have been greatly exaggerated by some. We believe instead that now is the time to reimagine the office, to evaluate what can be done to create an enhanced experience and to establish a roadmap for return.
Many experts have predicted the rise of hybrid work arrangements where employees will spend some of their time working from home for solo-focused work and joining their colleagues for the rest of the week for “collaboration days” — a term introduced by Alphabet, Google’s parent company in an email from CEO Sundar Pichai obtained by the New York Times. Planning the return to the office, employers may prioritize spaces fostering collaboration, creativity and innovation, dedicating a higher percentage of office space to activities that employees are missing when working from home.
The 57,000 square-foot Gensler-designed creative building at Vista Canyon features state-of-the-art office spaces for all types of businesses.
From established companies to start-ups to expanding organizations, Vista Canyon’s creative office space featuring reinforced concrete spaces with open ceilings, operable windows, balconies that wrap the building and create an outdoor amenity, plus high-speed internet connectivity and flexible floor plans can be tailored to suit all needs.
Inspired by natural elements like the Santa Clara River and the foothills of the Angeles National Forest, the building features large glass windows that grant spectacular mountain views. A large steel canopy 53’ off the ground provides shade and the southwest facade is shielded by wide concrete corridors, keeping circulation external.
Since the very beginning, Vista Canyon’s vision has been to create a community that reimagines the suburban experience combining the perks of city living with the charm of a small community built around six guiding principles: Accessibility, Connectivity, Affordability, Sustainability, Community and Activity. And while the pandemic has brought many challenges, it also reinforced the desire to create a community that offers a more affordable and connected alternative to congested and expensive city centers.
Residents at Vista Canyon have access to everything they need within a short walk or bike ride from their home. Living, working, shopping and recreation areas are all planned close to each other, helping to create a sense of small-town community among the people who live and work here.
Vista Canyon’s single- and multi-family homes are understandably in high demand. Jefferson Vista Canyon’s luxury apartments have recently welcomed 79 new residents and more than half of KB Home’s multi-family homes have already found their owners.
