When It Comes to Health Care, Experience is Key Facey Medical Group
Facey Medical Group has spent the last two years investing in a better experience for its patients, both inside and away from their four clinics in Santa Clarita. From a new medical record system to new offices and services, there’s plenty to love about being a Facey patient in 2019.
Most recently, Facey opened a new and improved office in Canyon Country that offers expanded radiology services, a larger Facey Eye Center, and room to add new physicians as the team grows. The new facility at 14550 Soledad Canyon Road also features urgent care services provided by Exer More Than Urgent Care. Facey patients can use Exer clinics throughout Southern California regardless of the type of insurance they have.
Last summer the group also introduced cosmetic and elective facial surgery offerings at its office on the campus of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital as well as real-time online appointment scheduling for primary care, pediatrics, and OB/Gyn services. Facey also began offering appointment reminders via text message in 2018.
“Online appointment scheduling is a convenience that more of our patients had been asking for,” says the group’s president, Roscoe Marter, M.D. “And it’s part of a broader push to improve the Facey experience online. We relaunched our website last year to provide a modern, mobile-friendly experience. And moving to Providence’s medical record system has given us the ability to heal in new ways and coordinate our patients’ care with other health systems. We can prescribe educational and support tools in the exam room that patients can access later in the comfort of their home.”
Over the last few years, Facey Medical Group has added and enhanced services to help keep health issues from getting in the way of patients’ daily lives. Facey’s Immediate Care clinic in Valencia is back to serving patients 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Most clinics now offer extended hours for primary care services on Mondays. MyChart by Providence lets patients manage their health care online at any time. And the work at Facey is ongoing— Online appointment scheduling is slated to expand to all specialties later this year.
Stevenson Ranch resident Alyssa Zackler, M.D., joined Facey’s Valencia OB/Gyn team in 2016 and is a fan of all the recent enhancements. She also appreciates that her team shares the responsibility of deliveries so that she can spend more time in the office with her patients.
“I really enjoy working alongside my colleagues,” she says. “My family sees Facey doctors and I know we’re in great hands. Facey makes sure we still have access to care on evenings, holidays, and weekends. That’s important for me and my patients because life doesn’t usually happen on a set schedule.”
