Green Monster Smoothie
Back to school in SoCal is a fun time of year! The weather feels like summer still, but the morning time-crunch and busy afternoons are a reality check for the busy days we all have. With kiddos in school and adults keeping up with busy schedules, we all need to make sure our nutrition is packed with nutrients to fuel us well! This smoothie is a hit for kids and adults alike! It’s the perfect start to your day or mid-afternoon snack to give you an energy boost! It turns out vibrant green (so much fun!) but tastes like a peanut butter shake!
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk (vanilla or plain-unsweetened)
1 individual vanilla Greek yogurt (can sub coconut yogurt for a dairy free version)
1 heaping tablespoon of natural Peanut Butter
1 frozen banana (*tip* When your bananas are perfectly ripe, peel and store in a large freezer bag)
Fill the rest of the blender with fresh, raw spinach (usually about 2-3 cups loosely filled)
Blend, pour into a cup, and enjoy…hello 5-minute meal!
