Singing With Heart – John Michael Montgomery Comes To The PAC For A Pre-Show Dinner And Concert
John Michael Montgomery has turned an uncanny ability to relate to fans into one of country music’s most storied careers. Behind the string of hit records, roomful of awards, and critical and fan accolades, lies a connection that goes beyond his undeniable talent and proven knack for picking hits. Few artists in any genre sing with more heart than this handsome Kentucky-born artist, and for one special night, Santa Clarita residents can experience John Michael’s commitment to his fans firsthand.
On April 17, John Michael will perform some of country’s greatest hits on the intimate Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center stage, starting at 7 p.m. From “Life’s a Dance” to “I Can Love You Like That” to “Rope the Moon,” this lineup is a must-see for true country enthusiasts. And for John Michael’s hungriest fans, College of the Canyons will host an exclusive pre-show dinner and meet-and-greet event at the elegant new Institute for Culinary Education (iCue), located on the Valencia Campus. A rare opportunity, this barbecue bonanza promises excellent dining, signature cocktails and a chance to meet the headliner himself. Following the 5 p.m. dinner, John Michael will come out to meet guests and take photos with fans. Seating is limited to 125 guests, so attendees can experience John Michael’s love for his fans in true fashion.
It seems the country legend does everything with heart, and the genuineness he greets fans with also is apparent in his modest beginnings. As a kid, John Michael quickly absorbed his father’s natural ability to draw fans and entertain people. After his parents’ divorce, he took over lead singing, and the rest is history. He received the CMA Horizon award and was named ACM’s Top New Vocalist, setting off a long series of awards that included the CMA’s Single and Song of the Year, Billboard’s Top Country Artist and a Grammy nomination.
